Joanna (Jody) Hauser, MS, RN, NP, graduated from the University of California, San Francisco in 2004 with a Master's degree in Nursing. She specialized in Oncology and Gerontology while training as a Nurse Practitioner (NP), focusing on hematology/oncology acute care, inpatient care as well as long term care of older adults.  Prior to joining San Francisco Oncology, she was a practicing NP in hematology/oncology providing care to a diverse population of cancer and blood disorder patients.  She has served as a preceptor to student NPs and has trained new practicing NPs.  Prior to working as an NP, she worked as a registered nurse at San Francisco General Hospital and as a data manager for UCSF clinical trials.
